Strata Cut featured in Stop Motion Magazine
This Stop Motion Magazine article is a good timeline and story of the history of Strata-Cut. It has some key spelling errors like ‘Alec Winter’ who should be Alex. Other spelling and missed names are partly my fault, and partly the authors. I am rambling and repeating words at times; it is largely an unedited stream of me talking.
I would like to call out one particular evident omission — Drew Neumann’s staggering contribution to make a proper audio companion track to Buzz Box. Drew did an amazing ‘maximalist’ soundtrack that keeps up with the visuals, and gives them presence, depth, and story logic, and delivers a spectacle of swarming with snippets and slurring musical back wash across the landscape of overloaded hyper assault.
The soundtrack also echos the themes of media seduction and abuse, which define our current state of corporate culture and branding as identity fetish.
